Carnegie Out Of Trophy And Lose Points
Leeds Carnegie have been docked three points and removed from the Wilkinson Sword Trophy after fielding a player without international clearance.
The appeals sub committee of the FA Sanctions & Regulations Committee, which met yesterday, found the KoolSport NCEL Division One club guilty of a breach of FA Rule E.1(d) involving player Paul Harrison.
The three points gained in the league match in which he played versus Grimsby Borough on January 20th will be deducted from the club's total points gained as per League Rule 6.8.
The points deduction comes into effect immediately.
And, with regard to the match v Appleby Frodingham in the Wilkinson Sword Trophy on September 16th in which Harrison played, Leeds Carnegie are removed from the competition under League Cups Rule 6.2.
Therefore, the Wilkinson Sword Trophy semi-final tie v Staveley Miners Welfare scheduled for Monday 22nd March will not be played and Staveley will be granted a bye into the final.

Two Clubs Face Points Deductions
At last week’s KoolSport NCEL Management Board meeting, it was ruled that two Division One sides should have points deducted, subject to appeal.
Barton Town Old Boys have been fined £500 and three points deducted from their total following their unfulfilled fixture versus Pontefract Collieries on February 9th.
And, Askern Villa have been deducted the ten points gained in matches in August and September when playing Dean Wilburn whilst he was under suspension from his County FA for outstanding monies to a previous club.
Wilburn, who has recently been transferred to Winterton Rangers, is now eligible to play as the cash has been paid.
Both Barton Town Old Boys and Askern Villa have fourteen days in which to challenge their respective verdicts to the FA.
Any points deductions required will be taken off the Division One table after that period has passed.
